Bengal: Cops or goons? A mockery of election

A police personnel with a T-shirt and no identity card was spotted in Bengal’s Cooch Behar on Thursday, during the first phase of the general election. The BJP candidate from Cooch Behar, Nishit Pramanik, who had left TMC just a month back, spotted the policeman and suspected him of wrongdoing. 

In a video that has gone viral, Pramanik is seen confronting the 'cop' to show his identity card which he couldn't. The policeman wearing a T-shirt gave more fodder to suspicions.  

Cooch Behar witnessed BJP-TMC clashes and even an ATM was smashed. The Election Commission has asked for a report from the district magistrate on violence during polls.
