Karwar: Union minister Anant Kumar Hegde on Tuesday night mocked Uttara Kannada's JD(S) Lok Sabha candidate Anand Asnotikar and said after Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's popular "Nikhil Yellidiyappa" (Nikhil where are you) comment, the same would come to Uttara Kannada and people would ask "Anand Yellidiyappa" after Uttara Kannada's Lok Sabha election on April 23. Hegde is contesting against Anand.

Without mentioning their names, BJP leader Hegde referred to Kumaraswamy and his minister brother HD Revanna to "lemons and pumpkins" as the two were known for their religious sentiments and approaching priests before they do anything for the state.
