Women participate in Indian politics increasingly without proportionate representation

Women are no longer an anomaly to Indian politics. Politically women have been making their presence felt in voter turnouts. Though only 8.1% of candidates of Lok Sabha are women, this is the highest on record. With all the statistics it is expected that the 2019 General Election might become the election of women for India.
