Mandya: Sumalatha Ambareesh who is contesting as an independent candidate from Mandya with the “man blowing trumpet” symbol was criticised by JD(S) sitting MP, LR Shivarame Gowda.
He said during a campaign meet in Mandya, that Sumalatha has been fooling the people of the district. He also stated that Sumalatha is just contesting because she knows that the people of Mandya love Ambareesh. He also criticised her for capitalising on the sympathies of the people and remarked that this was the sole reason for her to contest in the constituency, “or else she could have visited Mandya at least once,” said Gowda.
