As Mandya goes to polls on April 18th, independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh was busy campaigning in the interior and most remote parts of Mysuru, Karnataka. Mysuru: On the penultimate day of campaigning on Monday (April 15), Mandya’s independent candidate Sumalatha was busy travelling to the most interior and remote parts of Mysuru district in Karnataka. She was seen campaigning in as many as 20 villages, accompanied by a volley of supporters and policemen.

People thronged to catch a glimpse of the BJP-backed Sumalatha and reassured that they would vote her to power.

On her part, Sumalatha made it a point to impress upon the people that there was a lot of political chicanery and held a duplicate EVM in her hand, to show that there were a lot of namesakes and urged them to be careful while voting.

MyNation caught up with the lady and had a chat ranging over several issues.
