Before official announcement, Wayanad Youth Congress activists began to celebrate Rahul Gandhi's candidature for Lok Sabha election
Thiruvananthapuram: All India Congress Committee general secretary Oommen Chandy and opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala had made a straight pitch by saying that they welcome Rahul Gandhi for the Wayanad seat in Kerala. Even before the official announcement, Wayanad Youth Congress activists began to celebrate Rahul Gandhi's candidature.
There have also been reports of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu state Congress units asking party chief Rahul Gandhi to contest from their states as well.
