Bengaluru: Hassan BJP candidate in Karnataka is another Vokkaliga strongman. Former minister Arkalgudu Manju, who recently quit the Congress to join the BJP, in an exclusive interview with MyNation, said that in this election, both the grandsons of JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda will lose and that Deve Gowda himself will face difficulty in Tumakuru constituency.  Manju said he quit the Congress and joined the BJP to take on family politics of Deve Gowda and his sons, grandsons. In his opinion, none of the party workers are recognised, but are used and dumped by Gowda, who prefers only family members in power. He also said that Siddaramaiah prevented Manju from crossing over to the BJP. However, he said that he joined the BJP as supporters in the Congress, JD(S) too wanted someone to take on Deve Gowda. The Modi factor and voters' frustration against Deve Gowda would help him win the Hassan seat, Manju said. He also predicted the collapse of the government as about 18 legislators from the Congress and the JD(S) are in touch with the BJP, Manju said.
