Karnataka Dy CM Govind Karjol blames good roads for accidents

Synopsis

One of the three deputy chief ministers of Karnataka, Govind Karjol has said that accidents in Bengaluru are not caused due to bad roads, but due to the good roads. On MyNation's Just For Laughs, we bring you the minister's bizarre statement. 

Bengaluru: Karnataka deputy chief minister Govind Karjol claimed that there is a rise in the number of accidents due to good roads and highways. Speaking to reporters Karjol said, “There are a number of accidents that are reported and the media blames the bad roads. But I believe it is due to good roads.” 
He further said that he doesn’t support levying such high fines. 
Govind Karjol and two others - Dr Ashwath Narayan and Laxman Savadi. - were appointed as the deputy chief ministers in BS Yediyurappa's cabinet last month. Karjol is also the PWD and social welfare minister.
