#Semifinals18: EVMs are nation's pride, cannot be hacked or tampered with, says Hyderabad election officer

Hyderabad: Speaking to MyNation, Hyderabad election officer Dhana Kishore gave details of the polling staff, stations and locations in the city ahead of the Telangana Assembly elections on December 7. He said there are 17,000 polling staff, 3,873 polling stations and the polling will be held at 1,582 locations. When questioned about whether the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) can be tampered with, he said such reports are rumours. The EVMs are our nation's pride and they cannot be hacked, Kishore said. He also said the EVMs are strictly checked and there is no way they can be tampered with.
