Buenos Aires: Indian hockey teams created history by winning silver medals at the Youth Olympic Games 2018 here on Sunday.
Both men's and women's hockey teams lost their respective finals to bag silver medals in the five-a-side competition in Argentina.
The men were defeated 2-4 by Malaysia while Argentina beat the nation's women 3-1 in the gold medal contest.
This is for the first time that Indian hockey teams finished on the podium at Youth Olympics.
Bronze medals went to Argentina in men's category while China took the third spot in women's section. Argentina beat Zambia 4-0 and China got the better of South Africa 6-0.
