What ails Wriddhiman Saha is the big question.
There is a complete lack of clarity on whether it is the thumb fracture that he sustained during the IPL this year, or the shoulder injury he picked up during the tour of South Africa that has kept him out of the Test series against England. It's also unclear why a shoulder niggle was allowed to worsen to such an extent that it would jeopardise his participation in the series against England.
What is significant in this turn of events is the question: Has Saha been dropped and is his career nearing an end?
