No mountain is high enough before the will to scale it. This 17-year-old Hisar girl, Shivangi Pathak, who had earlier set the record for being the youngest woman to scale the Everest attained new heights. She scaled Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro in three days. While the record is yet unconfirmed, it is a commendable achievement nonetheless.
Talking to ANI, Shivangi said, "I always wanted to do something different and stand out from the crowd. I saw a video of Arunima Sinha and started researching about mountaineering. This inspired me to take up this activity."
Shivangi gave the entire credit of her success to the unsurmountable support of her family members. She went on record to state, "Girls need to convince their parents that they can achieve their goals. Parents, in turn, should support their daughters in every way possible. There is nothing that women can't do.”
The budding mountaineer's ambition is to scale every mountain peak in the world with her eyes now zeroed in on Europe’s highest peak.
