Asian Games: India go 0-2 down to Indonesia in men's badminton quarters after narrow doubles defeat

Indonesia took a 2-0 lead following Sanjaya and Gideon's 21-19, 19-21,16-21 win at Jakarta on the second day of the ongoing Asian Games

Jakarta: India's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty went down fighting against the World No 1 Indonesian pair of Kevin Sanjaya and Marcus Gideon in the second match of the men's badminton quarter-finals at the 2018 Asian Games on Monday. 

Indonesia took a 2-0 lead following Sanjaya and Gideon's 21-19, 19-21,16-21 win at Jakarta on the second day of the ongoing Asian Games. 

India lost first match of the quarter-final as Kidambi Srikanth lost to Anthony Ginting 21-23, 22-20, 10-21. 

HS Prannoy plays Jonatan Christie in a must-win third match of the quarter-final next.
