Ahead of Asia Cup, Rohit Sharma upset with captain Virat Kohli?

Synopsis

As Kohli and his team-mates prepare for the fifth and final Test against England starting at The Oval in London from September 7, it appears that Rohit is upset with his skipper

New Delhi: All is not well between India captain Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma if we go by social media.

As Kohli and his team-mates prepare for the fifth and final Test against England starting at The Oval in London from September 7, it appears that Rohit is upset with his skipper.

On Wednesday evening, Rohit unfollowed Kohli on both Twitter and Instagram setting off speculations of a rift between the duo.

With Kohli rested for this month’s Asia Cup, the selectors handed over the captaincy responsibility to Rohit and Shikhar Dhawan was made his deputy.

Rohit is being constantly ignored for Tests despite being one of the best batsmen in the limited-overs formats. He has been a prolific run scorer in white ball cricket but that has not translated into the five-day format.

Indian fans were left wondering whether Rohit’s latest move on social media is anything to do with his omission from the Test side. There were several comments on Twitter.
