Several printers and computers at the airport were reduced to ashes in the fire that broke out at an Air India ticket selling counter at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, which is believed to have been triggered by a short circuit

Varanasi: A massive fire broke out at an Air India ticket selling counter at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport on Monday morning at around 7:30 am.

Several printers and computers at the airport were reduced to ashes in the fire, which is believed to have been triggered by a short circuit.

Though the sudden blaze created panic among the passengers, it was brought under control in half-an-hour.

Luckily, no one was at the counter when the fire broke out.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
