Srinagar: After terrorists claimed to have released all the abducted relatives of Jammu and Kashmir Police officials, a series of propaganda videos were released by terror outfits to terrorise low-rank jawans and Kashmiri civilians.

In one of the videos, a young man who claims to be a sub-inspector in Jammu and Kashmir Police appeals to Director General of Police Shesh Paul Vaid not to ransack houses of terrorists in Kashmir. He also pleads with the DGP to either provide them with protection or let them stay home.

Another young man claiming to be serving as an SPO in the Police Line Pulwama district appeals to Vaid not to force them to barge into houses of terrorists and civilians, and ransack them. He says, “We are civilians, too. We live here and they can ransack our houses, too.”

The police have not reacted to these videos with panic. “We are ascertaining the authenticity of the videos and identity of the youth. Our boys are ready to face any situation,” an officer said. A few days ago, while speaking to MyNation, he had said,” Terrorists are targeting us like cowards. Our jawans are ready if they come face-to-face.”
