The reason for the death is not known. Actress Riyamikka's brother Praveen found the body first as he entered home on Wednesday night.
Chennai: Kollywood actress Riyamikka, 26, was found hanging from the ceiling of her room in her Sridevi Kuppam residence in Chennai on Wednesday night. The reason for her death is not known yet, and the police have not found any death note.
Riyamikka had acted in Kundrathile Kumaranuku Kondattam and Aghori-yin Attam Aarambam. It is also said that Riyamikka was sad that she was not getting roles in movies.
The actress was living in Sridevi Kuppam with her brother Praveen since four months. Praveen had last seen her on Tuesday night. But on Wednesday evening, her phone was not reachable and then Praveen entered the house with Riyamikka's alleged boyfriend Dinesh. As nobody opened the door, Praveen used the spare key and entered inside to see his sister’s body hanging from the ceiling.
The Valasaravakkam police have filed a case under CrPC Section 174 (unnatural death) and shifted the mortal remains to Royapettah Government Hospital for autopsy.
