Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje said she would have to be rather more than god to know about every incident that is happening in every remote corner of the state.
With lynchings on the rise in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in an interview on Monday (30 July) said that angst is spreading everywhere and people are reacting angrily to the circumstances.
She also added by saying that such crimes are not the reality of just Rajasthan, but of the world. "What matters is that the government should react fast to these crimes," she said. The action, such as suspending staff and having inquiries, serves as a warning, Raje further stated.

In recent days, Rajasthan witnessed several cases of mob violence in the state. The latest was on 20 July where a man reportedly died in police custody after cow vigilantes allegedly assaulted him in Alwar district. In November last year, cow vigilantes allegedly shot a 35-year-old Muslim man in the region.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court bench had addressed the Parliament to create a new panel to deal with incidents of vigilantism by saying that 'mobocracy' cannot be tolerated in society.
