Rahul Easwar retreats from Nilakkal to avoid arrest

Rahul Easwar withdraws from Nilakkal after being cautioned that he might get arrested. However, he said he would return in two days with other devotees.

Pathanamthitta: In an attempt to control the violence around Sabarimala temple, police officers are arresting susceptible protesters under the Prevention Detention Act. Rahul Easwar, president of Ayappa Dharma Sena, has withdrawn from Nilakkal.

The police earlier arrested KP Sasikala of Hindu Aikya Vedi and four other persons of Sangh Parivar. While Sasikala is out on bail now, the cops have stated that further arrests will take place if camps are put up by protesters around the temple.  

Easwar, a forefront leader of the ongoing protest, decided to withdraw from Nilakkal today. However, he said that he would return with other devotees in two days.
