Synopsis

The  National Investigating Agency has arrested the main conspirator Ishaq Palla and Feroz Ahmad Lone, who is currently posted as deputy jail superintendent, Amphalla prison, Jammu

Kashmir: The National Investigating Agency on Tuesday arrested two more accused involved in hatching a conspiracy against the state by sending youths of the Valley across the border for arms training in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.

The NIA has arrested the main conspirator Ishaq Palla and Feroz Ahmad Lone, who is currently posted as deputy jail superintendent, Amphalla prison, Jammu in this case. They have been booked under sections 120B RPC and 13,18 & 18 B of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

In November 2017, the police have arrested two youths named Danish Ghulam Lone and Suhail Ahmad Bhat, hailing from Pulwama district of South Kashmir, near the Line of Control (LoC); along with four terror aides who were facilitating their exfiltration to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).

Danish Ghulam Lone and Suhail Ahmad Bhat were travelling across the border for arms training to wage war against the state. These two are said to be motivated by Ishaq Palla, who was lodged in Srinagar central prison in a different case and was involved in hatching the conspiracy from behind bars.

Feroz Ahmad Lone, the then deputy superintendent of jail, Srinagar, was assisting Feroze Ahmad Lone and also organised a meeting to hatch a conspiracy. It was also revealed during an investigation that BlackBerry Messenger was used for communication to escape from radar detection of the security agencies.

A special NIA court in Jammu has remanded Ishaq Palla to its custody for 10 days, whereas the other accused Feroz Ahmad Lone will be produced before the court on Wednesday.
