Srinagar: In a befitting reply to Pakistan’s mischief to attack Indian Army posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nowshera sector, soldiers of the Indian Army shot dead two Pakistan Army soldiers.

Sources in the Army told MyNation that, around 5 AM, jawans of the Indian Army noticed some suspicious movement along the LoC. When challenged, the intruders fired upon the jawans. Reacting to Pakistan Army’s unprovoked action, the jawans retaliated, gunning down two Pakistani army soldiers.

An Indian Army jawan received injuries, too, while retaliating to Pakistan Army’s attack. His condition is stated to be stable.

An official statement issued by the Army reads: “At about 0515h, today in the morning, the alert Army troops noticed movement along the line of control in Naushera Sector. On being challenged, the armed intruders opened fire on own troops. Our troops responded with retaliatory fire in equal measure.”

“Pakistan Army posts provided supporting and covering fire, with a view to cover the move and help in extrication of the armed intruders. In this ensuing firefight, one army personnel sustained injuries and was evacuated for further medical treatment. His condition is stated to be stable.”

This is the second time in two days that the Indian Army has retaliated heavily to Pakistan. On August 14, two Pakistani soldiers were shot dead at the Tangdhar sector by Indian Army while they were trying to give covering fire to infiltrators.
