Pakistan seems to be disintegrating under the weight of its own terror-producing establishment.
MyNation has accessed videos showing people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa up in arms against the Pakistani army against the killing of Haroon Bilour, leader of Awami National Party (ANP), in the run up to the country’s general elections slated this year. The ANP is Pashtun nationalist outfit and draws support from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
People are seen raising slogans against Pakistani army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa, calling him a “terrorist” and blaming the army for the killing. They are heard shouting “Iske Peechhe Wardi Hai” (uniforms are behind the killing). The videos have come from near Peshawar.
Skardu-born Senge Hasnan Sering, who has been fighting for freedom of Gilgit-Baltistan or Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) in exile from Washington, used the opportunity to raise the pitch for Indian intervention on behalf of POJK in an exclusive interview with MyNation.
Sering told MyNation, that the native people of Gilgit-Baltistan are suffering rape, torture and economic exploitation at the hands of non-state actors from Pakistan that has been given free access to the region by Pakistan for mineral exploration. People in Shia-dominated GB are staring at an impending ethnic cleansing he added.
“India has been entrusted by the United Nations to protect life, honour, assets and liberty of people of Jammu and Kashmir which includes POJK. Fast deteriorating situation in Pakistan compels people of POJK to improve their communication with India and United Nations and try to find a way out with minimum suffering and consequences.”
“People of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are raising slogans against the military chief of Pakistan, General Bajwa, and calling him a terrorist. They are blaming Pakistan military establishment for murder of Haroon Bilour, who was killed by a suicide bomber during an attack on his election campaign.”
Sering added: “Military’s short-sightedness has turned Pakistan into a powder keg. Despite warnings from the USA and the United Nations, Pakistan is adamant to continue on the path of destruction. PAK military’s decision to enable militant leaders and outfits contest election and run campaigns only add to polarisation and destruction to social fabric.”
In one of his Tweets, Sering said: “Defining moment in #Pakistan political landscape as protesters openly call PAK military chief General Bajwa a terrorist & soldiers surrounding them seem completely numb & helpless. Military has turned PAK into a powder keg. Hope generals live long enough to witness the fireworks…Religion: The force that made Pakistan shall unmake it.”
