Indore: Man named Lucky Verma has been charged for allegedly posting a morphed picture of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, which was derogatory, on a WhatsApp group on October 19.

Santosh Singh Yadav, the station in-charge, Raoji Bazaar police station said that the accused has been identified as Lucky Verma and a case has been registered based on the complaint filed by Sangh volunteer Shailendra Sharma.

The cops found that Lucky Verma was the administrator of the WhatsApp group.

The accused has been charged under section 505 (2) (to disseminate information that creates hatred among various sections) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 67 (dissemination of obscene material) of the Information Technology Act.

Sagar Chouksey, RSS spokesperson, affirmed that the accused in the case is an active member of the student wing of the Congress NSUI.
