New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe at Yamanashi on Sunday. They would be holding talks on deepening India-Japan ties.
The Indo-Japanese friendship is not new and it dates back to the time when PM Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat and Japanese companies were the primary investment partner in the western state.
This is the PM’s third visit to Japan for the India-japan summit and his 12th meeting with Abe since 2014.
Both the heads share a cordial relationship, so when they met today, it was not just about business. The two exchanged gifts as a token of friendship.
MyNation has learnt that PM Modi presented Abe with two handcrafted stone bowls which are made in Gujarat, the PM's home state.
Not just that, Modi gifted Abe Dhurries sourced from Mirzapur as well.
PM Modi also presented him with a Jodhpuri wooden chest from Rajasthan.
