New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of smart cities has started taking shape with netizens sharing pictures and videos of developmental works in their hometowns. Hashtag #MODIfiedCities started trending on social media on Sunday after people shared the transformed pictures of their cities.
Visuals of infrastructural projects, highway construction, waste management, cleaning of rivers were posted by social media users. The Modi government has been trying to provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, as well as a clean and sustainable environment.
The mission is to provide infrastructure that includes assured supply of water, power, sanitation, solid waste management, public transport and affordable housing especially for the poor. Here are some of the posts which show startling infrastructural development in Indian cities carried out by the Modi government in the past five years.
