The court also asked whether Surendran is the sole member of the party and pointed out that there are many cases against some of the other ministers as well. The court asked this while considering Surendran's bail plea. The court postponed the hearing to Friday.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had asked the high courts of Kerala and Bihar to complete the trial of pending criminal cases against MLAs and MPs in their respective states.

The court also criticised Surendran. While the court questioned Surendran’s presence on the day of the protest, the court stated that Surendran's actions cannot be justified and that he should not have done such things given the fact that he holds a respectable position.

The government opposed Surendran's bail plea. They argued that Surendran took the law into his hands and said that he had not visited as a devotee. The court postponed the hearing following this.
