In a video, BJP worker Rahul Kini was seen with a woman in a coffee shop, when a group of men began to record a video and claimed to reveal the truth. The meeting took place a few days after Rahul reportedly suffered a head injury after a JD(S) supporter hurled a stone at him.

Bengaluru: Days after BJP worker Rahul Kini was discharged from the hospital, on Thursday, he was seen with a woman in a coffee shop. Seizing the moment, Bhuvan, a self-proclaimed JD(S) supporter and others, allegedly began to record this on his camera. In the video, few men are heard stating that though Rahul Kini is married, he is seen with other women. The group of men also said that with this video, they would expose the truth of his character.

On February 13, JD(S) worker began to protest after an audio clip went viral. In the clip Hassan BJP MLA Preetham J Gowda, was heard commenting on JD(S) chief HD Deve Gowda and Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy. The protest took an ugly turn after one of the JD(S) workers began to pelt stones at the MLA's residence, following which a BJP worker Rahul Kini was severely injured on the head, and was rushed to a district hospital. However, the man who attacked the BJP MLA by pelting stones was later arrested by the Hassan police officials.

Speaking to MyNation, Rahul Kini said, "I casually met her in a coffee shop, and she was inquiring about my health. It was a public place, and I don't think it is wrong to interact with a person in a public place. She is my family friend, and my wife also knows her well. They (the men) are trying to spread fake news with this."

Reacting to this, Bhuvan said, "This video was not to reveal his character or to show whom he is with. He had reportedly said that he is severely injured and that the doctors have advised him to take rest. In such a case, what made him meet a woman? Because of him, an innocent has been sent to jail."

Rahul Kini said that he has filed a complaint regarding the video at the Haasan rural police station and would let the officials take action.
