Srinagar: Four youths have been arrested from Handwara town in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district within 24 hours of joining terror outfit Al-Badr. They were nabbed after a joint team of the SOG and Army launched a cordon operation in the Kalaroos forests on Sunday.
Sources told MyNation that all four were heavily armed and were provided ammunition by the local commander of the terror outfit. The terrorists were looking to cross over to the other side of the line of control (LoC) for training in terror camps.

A senior police official said that these men announced their joining of terror ranks by posting photos on social media. After the pictures went viral, authorities were given the tip-off based on specific intelligence inputs, following which the operation was carried out.
"Today during early hours, the joint team of SOG and Army overpowered them (the terrorists) and arrested them for further questioning," the officer told MyNation.
The arrested terrorists were identified as Umar Bashir Sheikh, Danish Khazer Sheikh, Waseem Ahmad Khan and Tahir Habib Bhat — all in their early twenties. Moreover, Waseem was an MBA student, while Umar had a diploma degree.
A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from them.
Al-Badr is a terror outfit backed by the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) operating in Jammu and Kashmir. It has its headquarters at Mansehra, in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
