Kulgam: On Monday, terrorists killed a Territorial Army jawan in Shurat village in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
Sources told MyNation that the jawan was attacked by the terrorists when he was walking away from his house. The young man was identified as Mukhtar Ahmed Malik.
Mukhtar was part of the Territorial Army's 162 Battalion and had come home on vacation.
After being attacked by the terrorists, Mukhtar was taken to the nearby district hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Immediately after the attack, the security forces surrounded the area and intensified efforts to arrest the terrorists.
A senior police officer told MyNation that he has started investigating the matter by lodging an FIR.
