New Delhi: Indian Air Force (IAF) is giving sleepless nights to Pakistan forces, as its army spokesperson alleged that not only Indian aircraft entered Pakistan airspace but also released the payload.

Pakistan army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor on Twitter wrote, “Indian aircrafts (sic) intruded from Muzafarabad sector. Facing timely and effective response from Pakistan Air Force released payload in haste while escaping which fell near Balakot (sic). No casualties or damage.”

Earlier in a tweet, Ghafoor claimed, "Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled. Indian aircrafts gone back (sic). Details to follow."

However, there is no response from the Indian Air Force yet. As per the reports, Indian aircraft intruded into Pakistan from the Muzaffarabad sector and has caused heavy damages.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Monday the Pakistan army violated ceasefire at Line of Control and targeted forward posts and civilian areas along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, violating the ceasefire in this region for six days during the last week.

A defence spokesman said Indian troops retaliated muscularly.

Pakistan's claim came amid heightened tension between India and Pakistan after the February 14 attack by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad that killed at least 40 CRPF soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Pakistan accepting Indian Air Force entered Pakistan.

Balakot is way beyond LoC.

Dropped bombs & came back untouched.

Pakistan claiming no damage

By the way,

Balakot and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir respectively where Pakistan Army claims that Indian Air Force jets were spotted after intrusion and while leaving. Indian Govt officially silent over Pak allegations. Isn't IAF reaching Balakot Pak ineffecieny? pic.twitter.com/Tlp5GE9yXM

“Released payload in haste” so you’re indirectly admitting that they carried out a surgical strike and went as far in as Balakot? Oh the praise in the replies of this tweet! I love everything about my army and my country too, but this is delusion and ineptness at its best. https://t.co/wAwlB9AorM

Multiple Mirage 2000s struck Jaish camps in Balakot, which is also believed to be breeding ground and training camps of terror outfits. Sources claim that IAF has completely destroyed terror camps by dropping laser-guided bombs (LGBs).

Defence expert Nitin Gokhale on Twitter said that there is strong buzz that IAF conducted two-pronged Kinetic action in air and ground.

Two-pronged kinetic action, in air and on ground appears—pl note the word appears—to have happened in Pak-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Briefing expected on Indian side. So far no official word. Only a very strong buzz. Wait for updates

Ministry of Defence may soon brief media about the Pakistan army’s claim of air strike.

People living upto 30 kms away from heard huge explosions. Pakistan says IAF fighter jets crossed and dropped something near Balakot. PAF jeys still airborne upto Abbottabad.
