Grenade attack in upper Assam, ULFA hand suspected

ULFA-I militants are suspected to be behind the grenade attack. Top police officials rushed to the spot and launched a manhunt to track the attackers

Guwahati: In the evening of Thursday, an explosion rocked the Demow area in upper Assam's Sivsagar district.

A grenade was hurled at a cycle shop, Hanuman Hardware, owned by Kamal Agarwalla.

A customer of the cycle shop has been declared dead. The owner, badly injured, was rushed to the Sivsagar civil hospital.

ULFA-I militants are suspected to be behind the grenade attack. Top police officials rushed to the spot and launched an manhunt to track the attackers. An investigation has been instituted into the incident.
