New Delhi: Based on an unanimous decision taken by the Supreme Court, Justice DK Jain is going to be the first ombudsman under the new BCCI Constitution from August 9, 2019 onwards.

The Supreme Court expressed anguish over the public sparring that is on between members of committee of administrators for BCCI. The court said that they must not bring their differences to the public domain and asked the amicus curiae PS Narasimha to tell BCCI COA Vinod Rai and Diana Edulji to not go public with their differences of opinion.

The state cricket associations had accused COA of not releasing funds for cricket purposes. The apex court has ordered the amicus curiae PS Narasimha to advise COA to release funds to the associations.

Former BCCI president N Srinivasan has moved the Supreme Court seeking revocation of the order by the apex court, which barred Anurag Thakur from administrative works of the BCCI. Srinivasan said that he wants Thakur to get back into cricket administration given his long experience.

The Supreme Court issued notice to the COA of BCCI on Anurag Thakur's application to get him back into the cricket administration.
