Former collector of Raipur, OP Choudhary joins BJP two days after quitting from service

OP Choudhary said the reason why he joined the BJP is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi provides leadership without any personal motive.

Former collector of Raipur, O P Choudhary, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in New Delhi on Tuesday. According to a news agency report, BJP could place him as a youth icon in Chhattisgarh, in the presence of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and party President Amit Shah.

Choudhary said the reason why he joined BJP is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi provides leadership without any personal motive, and he wants to play a role in India’s “growth story.”  He also mentioned that BJP does not worry about where you are born or who you know. 

Choudhary was a civil servant for the last 13 years. He also mentioned that Atal Bihari Vajpayee is his hero.
