A crucial Central Vigilance Commission meeting tomorrow will decide who will be the next Enforcement Directorate chief

New Delhi: The government is all set to elect a new Enforcement Directorate director on Friday.

A crucial Central Vigilance Commission meeting tomorrow will decide who will be the next ED chief.

Present ED director Karnail Singh's tenure gets over by the end of this week, and no extension has been given to him as of yet.

According to reports, GC Murmu is one of the top contenders for the post. 

Murmu is a 1985-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre and is considered to be a trusted aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
