Bano also tried to give the Pulwama terror attack a political touch by targeting the BJP. 'Whatever happened was bad and this will affect us, but we don’t know how the BJP will exploit this and how they will use this attack,' she said.

New Delhi: Going against the party line, another Congress leader and former MP Noor Bano insulted the jawans who lost their lives in the Pulwama massacre, by blaming the Indian Army for the terror attack.

“It was the duty of the forces to prevent the attack. They had the indications of an attack, then why didn't they take precautions?” said Bano. She added, “The armed forces are solely responsible for this attack.”

Bano also tried to give the terror attack a political touch by targeting the BJP. “Whatever happened was bad and this will affect us, but we don’t know how the BJP will exploit this and how they will use this attack,” she said.

Bano is not the first leader of the Congress to question the armed forces or support Pakistan. Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu is facing flak over his controversial remark on the Pulwama attack. After public outrage, he was removed from The Kapil Sharma Show, a comedy-cum-talk show.

Sidhu had defended Pakistan and said that talks between the two countries should not stop. Defending the dastardly attack, Sidhu said both India and Pakistan need to find a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue and added that terrorists have no religion, no country and no caste.

Earlier, in an ultimate insult to the Indian soldiers, senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Saturday audaciously defended the terrorist behind the Pulwama attack that killed at least 40 CRPF jawans. Shockingly, Congress’s social media head Divya Spandana also endorsed Bhushan’s tweet.

Bhushan in his tweet said that the suicide bomber was harassed and beaten by the troops after which he embraced the path of violence. Bhushan’s tweet was retweeted by the Congress social media head Spandana.

“It is important to understand why so many young men in Kashmir are becoming militants and willing to die. Even US forces couldn’t hold Afghanistan and Iraq after large-scale suicide attacks,” Bhushan had tweeted.
