Amaravati: The cyclonic storm Titli left eight people dead, besides causing widespread damage in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) said.

More than 2,000 electric poles were uprooted by strong winds.
At least five IndiGo flight services from Bhubaneswar to Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Mumbai were suspended on Thursday. Other flights have also been cancelled.
Power supply hit:
The Eastern power distribution company that provides electricity to north coastal districts reported that the power distribution system for 4,319 villages and six towns was affected in Srikakulam district.
Power supply and telephone links were affected by uprooted trees at many places throughout the state. Traffic at the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway on Tekkali was also hit.
Trains cancelled:
The South Central Railway as well as the East Coast Railway cancelled several trains while some terminated services.
Train No 22838 Ernakulam-Hatia express leaving Hatia on October 11, 2018 was cancelled.
Train No 58526 Visakhapatnam-Palasa passenger leaving Palasa on October 11, 2018 was also cancelled.

The telecommunication network also has been disrupted.
The Palasa, Vajrapukottur, Nandigam areas recorded 28.02 cm of rainfall followed by Kotabommali (24.82 cm), Santabommali (24.42 cm), Itchapuram (23.76 cm) and Tekkali (23.46 cm).
