Chhattisgarh: 3 naxals killed, one captured in insurgency-hit Sukma

According to the authorities, the encounter took place in a forest, which falls under the jurusdiction of the Phulabgarh police station

Raipur: India continued its crackdown on left-wing extremists, as a team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) on Wednesday killed at least three terrorists in Maoist insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
 
The security personnel have also arrested a terrorist alive, said police.
 
According to the authorities, the encounter took place in a forest, which falls under the jurusdiction of the Phulabgarh police station.
 
The DRG troopers recovered bodies of three slain naxals. They also found a 315-bore pistol, a pipe bomb and everyday items.
 
The security personnel, undertaking the exercise, came under naxal fire when they reached the forest close to the Marchaguda area.
 
However, unable to withstand the retaliatory fire by security personnel, the Maoist terrorists fled the spot.
 
The authorities are expecting more causalities from the naxal side.
