New Delhi: The Chinese army reportedly entered the Dibang province of Arunachal Pradesh a few days ago, sources said.
Local residents raised an alarm and clicked photographs showing Chinese Peoples' Liberation Army (PLA) troops in the region along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The locals alerted the Army and local administration.
The troops — around 11 Chinese PLA men dressed in camouflaged Army fatigues — were spotted in upper Dibang in Arunachal Pradesh around six days ago. The troops were about one kilometre inside the Indian territory.
Reacting to the incident, Army sources said, it was not a transgression. ”Due to the changing perception of the LAC, patrols do go till their line of perception. Once alerted, the patrol teams return back,” a senior officer told MyNation.
