Bharat Bandh: AAP refuses to join, says Congress has no moral authority over fuel price rise

Synopsis

Congress has called for a bandh protesting against prices of diesel, petrol, the deteriorating value of Indian currency, and for the formation of a joint party committee to scrutinise the alleged irregularities in the Rafale deal.

According to reports, AAP's spokesperson, Saurabh Bharadwaj said, "Although the issue is right, the Congress has no moral authority over the issue of fuel price rise and record fall of the Indian rupee. It is little difficult to digest that the Congress is calling for a Bharat Bandh."

Saurabh said, "Either this government lacks the understanding of the economic situation of the country or it is deliberately filling up its own coffers at the cost of the common man."

The nation-wide bandh has been majorly called by the opposition party, Congress. They are protesting primarily against the skyrocketing prices of diesel, petrol, the deteriorating value of Indian currency, and for the formation of a joint party committee to scrutinise the alleged irregularities in the Rafale dea.
