Baghpat: If you thought women and children are the only ones at risk from sexual predators, you may want to think again.
A shameful case has come to light from Tilwara village of Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh where a Muslim man has been accused of raping a four-month old heifer calf. The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday.
The young animal succumbed to internal injuries on Saturday, as confirmed by the veterinarian.
Following this, an FIR report has been registered and the accused has been booked under section 377 and 429 of IPC. Vijay Kumar, SO of Chaprauli, said, "An FIR has been filed against the youth whose family says he is a minor. His real age will be ascertained only after medical examination. A government veterinarian examined the calf's body. The calf definitely died of internal injuries but a slide has been sent to an Agra-based lab to confirm rape. We will arrest him soon."
Meanwhile, Hindu organisations have gathered in huge numbers and are demanding his arrest. Ankit Badoli, youth wing district president of Hindu Jagran Manch said, "I don't have words to describe the category of crime this was."
