New Delhi: The Valentine's Day 2019 is the first celebration of love for the Indian LGBTQIA+ community as out and proud since Supreme Court partially struck down Article 377 that criminalised consensual homosexual sex in September 2018.

Hotelier Keshav Suri of Lalit Suri Hospitality Group kickstarted the merrymaking with a pre-valentine, special screening of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The recent Sonam Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer is one of the first mainstream Bollywood movie to tackle the issue of homosexuality. The event was attended by Suri and the Kitty Su club gang as well as activist Anjali Gopalan of the Naaz foundation, screenwriter of the movie Gazal Dhaliwal and Indian drag queen Prateek Sachdeva among others.
