Miss England contest will lend more beauty to the stage as Sara Iftekhar, who is a young entrepreneur, will walk the ramp of finalists while in hijab.

Sara is a student of law at the University of Huddersfield. Among 22,000 applicants, she has made it to the finals along with 50 other people. This is the first time a woman will walk the ramp in a hijab in the final round of the reputed beauty pageant.

All beauty pageants claim that the contest is more than just a pretty face. But Miss England finalists will also have to raise funds and awareness for beauty with a purpose. They also have to arrange sponsored gifts to donate to charity, take part in a creative eco fashion round, compete in a sports round, pass the general knowledge quiz and also submit a short video for the talent round.

Sara had ventured into business at a young age of 16. Already popular Sara is said to be wanting to use her popularity to raise money to help underprivileged children suffering from Cleft Palate conditions in South America, Sri Lanka and Russia. She is also said to be keen on helping people affected by natural calamities and children displaced from Vietnam.
