The birth anniversary of freedom fighter and eminent educationalist Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was declared as the National Education day on September 11th 2008 by the central government. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has requested schools to organise informative programmes such as seminars, essay writing, workshops and rallies, targeting the importance of education.
