You must have heard many fairy tales, but have you ever seen fairies being worshipped? In the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, there is a place known as 'India's Fairyland.' This mysterious and sacred place is Khait Parvat — where fairies are worshipped as goddesses. The serene valleys, mysterious mountains, and local folklore give it a unique identity. Whether it's monsoon or winter vacation, if you believe in fairy tales, you must visit this place once. Adorned with the beauty of nature, this mountain is no less than a fairy world.
Khait Parvat is located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. This place is situated at an altitude of about 2,400 meters above sea level and is full of natural beauty.
According to local beliefs, fairies reside on Khait Parvat. The women here worship a goddess in the form of "Pari Ma," who protects the village and forests. Villagers believe that these fairies dance on the mountains at night and assist in auspicious works.
There is also a 'Pari Devi Temple' here, where a fair is held once a year. Especially women dressed in white worship fairies. A divine atmosphere is created during the worship amidst the sound of drums and traditional folk songs.
Guest houses, homestays, and camping sites are available nearby. Most tourists stay in Agastyamuni or Kund and trek from there.
