Bengaluru: In what comes as a phenomenal exhibition of exemplary skill, a pilot landed his aircraft on a single wheel.
The aircraft in question is An-32 transport aircraft and pilot is IAF’s Flight Lieutenant Gunadnya Kharche. The incident took place at Sulur Airbase in Tamil Nadu in the year 2012.
The video was made public only yesterday (October 10).
In the video, you can see the aircraft approaching in a slow and steady manner. The pilot successfully lands it even as the aircraft leans to the side where the wheel is missing.
He was awarded Shaurya Chakra for the feat he achieved.
