Activist Teesta Setalvad was seen tutoring Shaheen Bagh protesters ahead of Supreme Court interlocutors addressing them.
Bengaluru: Here’s another proof to show that Shaheen Bagh protests are not spontaneous but sponsored.
Teesta Setalvad, a so-called activist whose name figures prominently in various controversies, including money embezzlement, is seen tutoring Shaheen Bagh protesters on how to answer questions posed by Supreme Court appointed interlocutors – Sanjay Hegde, Sadhana Ramachandran and former chief information commissioner Wajahat Habibullah.
A video in this regard exposing her was tweeted by Amit Malviya, the BJP IT-cell head. In the video Setalvad can reportedly be heard making statements like, “When you are asked something, then you say these counter questions”.

Shaheen Bagh protests have been going on for the last two months, causing massive traffic-related issues. Roads have been blocked in order to facilitate the protests.
Angered as they have been put to inconvenience, petitioners approached the top court. On its part, the apex court said, “People have a fundamental right to protest against a law but the blocking of public roads is a matter of concern and there has to be a balancing factor.”
The top court also added, “Democracy works on expressing views but there are lines and boundaries for it.”
The fundamental grouse of Shaheen Bagh protesters is that CAA is discriminative, as it grants citizenship to only non-Muslim minorities who have been persecuted from the countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Though PM Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah have consistently said that the law doesn’t snatch away rights from Indian citizens, as it doesn’t apply to Indian citizens, there has been a sustained effort to spread lies and misinformation.
All that the CAA does is to integrate the persecuted minorities with India on a social basis.
At the time of writing this article, the interlocutors appointed by the top court were seen addressing the protesters.
