Synopsis

Land sharks attacked the Bhuvaneswari Kurumba Bhagathikkavu temple in Kozhikode.  However, devotees, with their hard work, repaired it quickly.

Kozhikode: The famous Sri Guru Bhuvaneswari Kurumba Bhagavathikkavu temple in Kozhikode, Kerala was destroyed on the night of January 16.

It’s an important worship place of people belonging to SC/ST community. It is alleged that the temple was destroyed by those who were eyeing the property for quite some time. Earlier they had made efforts to buy the temple property. As their efforts went futile, they resorted to destroying the temple. However, the devotees managed to rebuild the temple within 36 hours.

The incident came to light only when devotees, as per a twitter user, came to light ‘deepam’ in the temple but found the temple in a shambles.
