Uttar Pradesh government doubles financial help for martyrs’ families to Rs 50 lakh

When CM Yogi Adityanath proposed doubling of financial aid to martyrs’ families during the Cabinet meeting, everyone became emotional and welcomed the move by thumping the table  

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to double the financial help to the families of the martyrs of the defence services and paramilitary forces from the state from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.

A Cabinet meeting was held in the state capital Lucknow and chief minister Yogi Adityanath proposed before the Cabinet and all the members passed it unanimously on Tuesday (June 16).

Earlier, the UP government was helping the families of the martyrs in the state with Rs 25 lakh each. But now the government has decided to increase the financial help.

The government said the families of the soldiers from Uttar Pradesh, who are martyred in the line of duty, will get financial help.

During the Cabinet meeting, Yogi said whatever the government  is doing for the families of the martyrs is not enough but the government is satisfied with its decision for provide financial support.
