Terror funding case: NIA files supplementary chargesheet on Yasin Malik

New Delhi: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday, filed supplementary chargesheet before a Delhi court against Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik and others in 2017 terror funding case.

Separatists Asiya Andrabi, Shabir Shah, Masarat Alam Bhat have also been named as accused in the charge sheet.

Speaking to the reporters, special public prosecutor Sidharth Luthra said that former Jammu and Kashmir MLA, Rashid Engineer has also been named in the chargesheet.

Additional Sessions Judge Rakesh Syal put up the matter for taking cognisance on October 23 while the proceedings took place in camera.

According to reports, in the form of social media evidence, call records and documentary evidence, fresh material have surfaced. The materials show the relationship of the people chargesheeted with the cross border accused Hafiz Saeed and Syeed Salahuddin.

The reports further said that the NIA termed Masarat Alam as the group leader of stone pelters and actively coordinated stone-pelting rallies in 2010. Asiya Andrabi collected the alleged foreign funds for her banned organisation Dukhtaran-e-Millat. It also said that Asiya and Rasheed have links to proscribed terror organisations in Pakistan.
