Rahul Gandhi’s plane malfunctions, Congress suspects ‘intentional tampering’

In his tweet, Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that the plane’s engine developed a snag and he was forced to return to New Delhi. He also said that meetings in Samastipur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa) & Sangamner (Maharashta) will get delayed.

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday faced a rather unforeseen hiatus as he was en route to Patna. He took t twitter to share his predicament and announce the fate of the meetings lined up today. 

In his tweet, Gandhi said that the plane’s engine developed a snag and he was forced to return to New Delhi. He also said that meetings in Samastipur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa) & Sangamner (Maharashta) will get delayed.

According to reports, the auto-pilot system of the plane also failed. The Congress party immediate raised alert as they suspect “intentional tampering to endanger the life of passengers”. A complaint has also been filed with the state police. 

Rahul was travelling in was a two-pilot plus eight seater King Air B2000 manufactured by the US-based Hawker Beechcraft.
